How Does simPRO Mobile Work?

1. Fill in your service form with your digital pen
2. Tick the send box on the form
3. Pen sends data by Bluetooth to your mobile phone
4. Phone sends data by GPRS through the internet
5. simPRO Mobile converts the file to PDF and simPRO XML language
6. You edit the form inside simPRO to ensure all data is correct
7. simPRO imports data to the correct field inside simPRO so you can assign the correct labour hours, the correct parts, complete the job and create an invoice. learn more about simPRO

What You Need

Digital Paper Forms

Your forms are printed on standard paper as they are now, but with a special `dot pattern. which plots the co-ordinates of the pen strokes. We arrange the printing for you.

DataPen

Supplied by Acorn Software, your data pen is used for writing on your digitally enabled paper forms and transmits the data by Bluetooth to your mobile phone.

Mobile Phone

Not supplied by Acorn Software. To receive the data from your data pen and to transmit that via the internet from your phone, you will need a mobile phone with the following minimum requirements:

• Java 2 MicroEdition (J2ME) compatible phone with the MIDP profile.
• Bluetooth
• Bluetooth API for Java (JSR-82)
• Internet connectivity (packet data, GPRS, whatever you provider calls is)

Most modern Bluetooth enabled phones meet the requirement . always check simPRO Mobile as to the compatibility of your phones before starting.
